Brides in Smoke — Two best friends abandon their husbands after a fiery anniversary reveals years of neglect.

Ella and Leah mark their third anniversary married to Harper brothers Charles and Noah. During the celebration, Charles's former lover traps Ella inside a burning room. Ella pleads with her husband, a firefighter, but he ignores her to search for his ex's cat instead. Leah rushes into the flames to pull Ella out and calls Noah, a doctor, begging him to save Ella and her unborn child. He responds with mockery rather than aid. The cruelty breaks the women's long silence, and they file for divorce together.
