Fearful of exposure, the ancient families responsible for the Vito purge mobilize a coordinated offensive across high finance, royal courts, the criminal underworld, and the contested wolf border to suppress evidence. Lyla discovers her missing mother, Mara, had been tracking this identical plot before she disappeared. Joining forces with allies, Lyla leverages court motions, sworn depositions, and a recovered ledger to trace the breadcrumbs connecting every front.
