Campus basketball star Damon and cash-strapped student Ivy become supernaturally tethered when she inadvertently ingests his blood, causing every heartbeat, ache, and physical shift to echo between them. The bond escalates when Ivy discovers she is pregnant; Damon feels the nausea, the growing weight, and each fetal kick as his own, forging an intimate, forced empathy. Their deepening connection fractures after Damon's stepsister insists the fetus is merely a tumor, poisoning his mind with suspicion and driving him to question Ivy's honesty about the child they both experience.
