Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the King

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the King — A human Luna walks away after her Alpha mate chooses his first love for pack survival.

On their fifth anniversary, Alpha Liam offers human Elena only a protection mark before bonding with his first love, Seraphina, declaring the union essential for pack prosperity. He dismisses Elena's protest as irrational and brands her humanity a failed test. Elena refuses the insult and disappears. Five years later, the pair collide at an Alpha Council hotel where Liam's pack nears major power status and Seraphina wears a moonlight silk gown. Liam mocks Elena as she stands ankle-deep in an ornamental fountain, covered in sand, insisting no pack will accept a human. Elena ignores his taunts, focused solely on recovering her cub's treasured moonstone, a beach-combed gift that slipped into the water.

Quick answers

Why does Alpha Liam bond with Seraphina instead of Elena?

He claims the bonding secures the pack's future and political power, not lingering affection.

What brings Elena to the hotel fountain five years later?

She is retrieving her child's lost moonstone, a precious amulet found on the beach.
