F-Rank Tamer, S-Rank Monster

F-Rank Tamer, S-Rank Monster — A slum orphan's useless beast egg hatches an S-rank ant queen who builds a monster army through devouring.

In the Lower City, Evan Cole enters the Awakening ceremony clutching his mother's final beast egg. The shell shatters early, spilling out Alia, a stunted ant queen the examiners dismiss as trash. A blood pact between them unlocks her true nature as an S-rank Hive Queen able to consume other beasts and mutate an ever-expanding legion. Over three frantic days Evan directs the swarm through the academy trial, single-handedly slaughtering an S-rank mutant to seize first place. The victory exposes House Vale's forbidden magic, the hidden Undercity, the beast Cerberus, and the Abyss lord Valhan. When a tide of a million monsters crashes down, Evan and Alia achieve full Symbiosis, kill Valhan, and rescue the Lower City, earning Evan Upper City citizenship; years later he marries Maya.
